“The pole is fine but the courier dumped it at the wrong house. It stayed there overnight and the packaging got wet but luckily good neighbours brought it to us and it wasnt wrecked Couriers problem but the end result coud have beena useless product”

“Product is as ordered, quailty is commensurate with price. I was unhappy either the poor packaging - one end cap fell off the card tube, the other end was in place but barely The box contains brackets, rings etc was thin walled and way too flimsy. It was partly open when delivered but, luckily, the contents hadn’t fallen out.”

“One part of the order arrived unfit to use - Curtain pole covered in adhesive. Was told by customer service to try and clean it off. Explained that was not possible without damaging. Then agreed to replace it.”

“The colour look pale, the pole surface shows no wood grain although it is wood. The coating on it makes it look cheap, first impression as if it carton gloss. Rings and the rest of the set show good grain. But rough on some ring. Not value for money - the coating on the pole spoils it all!”

“For the price, I was disappointed with the product. Does not look like oak to my eye and fixings do not match the colour of the pole. I'd recommend seeing the product before you buy at a high street retailer.”

“Curtain rail was delivered promptly but when fixing the brackets I noted that they had surface rust on them. Did my best to clean this off but not totally successful. The pole had obviously been stored in less than ideal conditions.”

“Nice curtain poles but finials were a bit of a nightmare to secure. If grub screw tightened too much then started to dent pole. Never had a problem with finials before, always been a good fit.Would buy poles again but purchase separate finials.”

“The pole itself was excellent and easy to fit. However delivery was extremely poor from XDP - took more than a week, we twice got notification of a two hour delivery slot and it wasn't delivered either day, and then it truned up on a Sunday without any prior warning.”

“I bought the 5m x 19mm curtain pole with finials and brackets. Curtain Pole store are one of the few retailers that supply in that size. The order arrived promptly and while the cardboard tube with the pole was a bit battered the pole was fine. Only problem was that the brackets sent were 28mm and not 19mm so had to go through the process of re-ordering, which came promptly but still a few days delay, hence 3*. Overall a nice product at a reasonable price”

“The pole and fixings were delivered swiftly and well-packaged. The quality seems very good. However the hole drilled in one of the brackets is at an angle, leaving a gap between the bracket and the metal plate/wall. This is not a huge problem and not visible when the curtains are in place, but it shouldn't have happened. That's the only complaint I have.”

“Ordered few items. Items shipped in two packages as learnt layer. When 1st package arrived with some of the items, shortage was queried. However, reply received from pole store had assumption that package was damaged hence shortage as all was dispatched ok. Dispatch point should communicate clearly to merchant if purchase have to be split into more than one package. This comms then should be passed to customer so all parties are clear what is sent, how it's packed etc to avoid confusion. Communication is a key. At the end all was received ok.”

“The brackets weren't the type I was expecting nor the same as the instructions. The instructions referred to a 6mm drill bit the fittings were 8mm. It is ok now it's up bit a bit disappointed.”

“At a reasonable price samples were available to check the colour of the curtain poles in the range of colours of interest which was absolutely brilliant and the resulting purchase was very well packaged. However, the wooden pole itself was not straight and the double ended joining screw to attach a finial at one end of the pole was inserted off centre and skewed so it required repositioning before a finial could be properly attached. Overall the service offered including the prompt delivery of the samples also finally the complete curtain pole order was excellent but the curtain pole itself lacked in quality.”
