“A very honest, well informed sales team who answered every question with patience and first class knowledge. I revisited a number of times to clarrify my understanding and to be sure of every detail, especially as I was ordering to a 'cut size'. There were also occasions when i messaged late afternoon re cut sizes to allow for finials; retuned answers shortly afterwards. The company obviously puts a great deal on customer care. Outstanding company from my experience. One work in progress- yes the middle finial I have modified ?”

“Ordered 494cm legth of track. Arrived slightly damaged. You sent a replacement telling me to dispose of original. I didnt want replacent because despite slight damage, it was usable and we didnt have time to wait for replacement. I now have two 5 metres heavy cardboard tubes and a perfectly good piece of 494cm track clogging up my garage. Just gonna go to waste.”

Thank you for your review. We are a little disappointed by your comments, as the actions we took were intended to resolve the issue quickly and minimise inconvenience to you. You contacted us to advise that your 494cm made-to-measure track had arrived damaged. Rather than asking you to package and return an almost 5-metre-long track, we arranged a replacement and advised that you could dispose of the damaged original. This was intended to save you the considerable inconvenience of having to arrange the return of such a large item. We appreciate that you subsequently decided the original track was usable and that you no longer required the replacement. Had we known this before the replacement was dispatched, we could have discussed the available options with you. We are also sorry that you are now left with packaging to dispose of. Unfortunately, a track of almost five metres requires substantial protective packaging to transport it safely. When a customer reports an item as damaged, our priority is to put the matter right, and in this instance we supplied a complete replacement without requiring the damaged track to be returned. We are therefore sorry that our attempt to resolve the original problem promptly has ultimately left you dissatisfied. Curtain Pole Store

“Good product let down by packaging. Minimal internal packing to protect product from being damaged. The external packaging was torn and damaged in arrival. We were going to sign the delivery drivers tablet to state this, but we're told there was no option to allow us to do so!!!”

Thank you for your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you are happy with the product itself, but we're sorry to hear about the condition of the packaging on arrival. We are particularly concerned by your comment that you attempted to report the damaged packaging to the driver but were told there was no option to do so. Our customers are advised to report visible transit damage at the point of delivery, as this is important evidence when we raise a claim with the courier. We would have appreciated the opportunity to investigate this for you directly before the review was posted. Had you contacted us to let us know what the driver had said, we could have raised this with the courier and looked into the circumstances of the delivery. We take reports of damaged packaging seriously, and if the courier did not allow you to record the condition of the parcel when you specifically requested to do so, this is something we would like to investigate. “Curtain rail bracket was as ordered, but there was a delivery issue and it wasn’t dealt with very well by Curtain Pole Store. The delivery company (DX) clearly lost the item, but it felt like blame was put on the customer. Paid £7.95 for next day delivery. Lots of phone calls and emails later the newly despatched item was delivered next day by Royal Mail, but 10 days after order placed. No refund for delivery costs.”

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you were disappointed with the delivery experience, but we would like to provide some additional context. We were first contacted regarding the missing parcel approximately five days after the expected delivery date. As soon as we were made aware, we investigated the matter with DX, who provided us with photographic delivery evidence. You advised us that you did not recognise the location shown in the photograph, so we acted on this information and immediately arranged for a replacement item to be sent to you via Royal Mail on a next working day service. We are sorry if our questions during the investigation made you feel that you were being blamed. This was certainly not our intention. When a courier records an order as delivered and provides photographic evidence, we have to establish what has happened before we can determine the appropriate resolution. Although we appreciate that the overall time from placing your original order to receiving the replacement was longer than expected, once the issue was reported to us, we acted promptly and covered the cost of sending a replacement, which was successfully delivered. We appreciate your feedback and are pleased that the bracket itself was as ordered. We are sorry that the courier issue affected your overall experience with us. Curtain Pole Store

“I must admit I was a bit apprehensive about ordering online, but I have been so pleased with my order! Everything came well wrapped and packed and was in perfect condition. My poles were put up the next day, and look amazing - they were easy to fit, and look extremely elegant. Very impressed!”

“Absolutely love this pole. Dont know why I didnt buy it years ago. A much more pleasant sound opening and closing than the old metal bar and rings; like finger nails down a chalk board. Aesthetically it looks gorgeous, lovely quality. Quick despatch and well packed for protection.”
